Professor Dr. Samina Khurshid is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 20 years of clinical, surgical, academic and teaching experience. She has served as Professor and Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, bringing extensive expertise in high-risk pregnancy, maternal care, operative gynaecology, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, infertility and reproductive medicine.

Her clinical expertise includes managing complex pregnancies, obstetric emergencies, Caesarean sections, placenta previa, postpartum haemorrhage, twin and multiple pregnancies, and other pregnancy-related complications. Previously, she served as Associate Professor and Head at Abu Umara Medical & Dental College from May 2024 to January 2025. She also worked at Fatima Memorial Hospital as Assistant Professor from March 2015 to May 2024 and Senior Registrar/Assistant Consultant from April 2011 to March 2015. Throughout her career, she has contributed to departmental leadership, clinical supervision, postgraduate training, resident mentoring, clinical audits, quality improvement and academic development.

She completed her FCPS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan in 2011, MRCOG Part 1 from the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, UK, in 2007, and MBBS from Nishtar Medical University, Multan, in 2004. Her additional qualifications include a Diploma in Minimal Invasive Surgery (2021), Postgraduate Diploma in IVF and Reproductive Medicine (2019), Certification in Health Professional Education and ALSO Certification.
